Wow, where are my line breaks?

Where to start? I'm a system administrator by trade. I love to cook (and eat), hike, enjoy a good movie, go to concerts, sing karaoke, read a good book, play a good game (video or otherwise). The usual.

I also tend towards what could be described as a very DYI way of life. I cook most everything I eat from scratch (to an extreme degree), I make my own soaps and lotions and such (I once had, and plan to have once more, a small side business with this), and things of that nature.

I'm an ardent conversationalist, but rarely encounter anyone sufficiently thoughtful or open-minded to engage in a good conversation. Hence my google search for "libertarian dating site" leading me here, self-identified libertarians tend to be more interesting and open conversationalists, in my experience. My views tend to clash rather strongly with most people, and I tend to elicit rather unpleasant reactions from those to whom I give an honest answer when asked "What do you think?".

I listen to a wide variety of music, from classic rock to modern prog. My reading tastes are all over the map, but tend to shy away from "light reading" in favor of headier material. Philosophy tends to be one of my favorite reads, and I'm working my way through Basic Writings of Nietzsche at the moment (Thus Spoke Zarathustra [as translated by Kaufmann!] was very influential on me). Movies and shows are again all over the map, but I do enjoy good scifi (a rarity anymore), and I'm a big fan of anime (a cohesive story planned in advance and not simply drug out until people stop watching? Yes please!).
