I've just turned 50, enjoying a new lease on life and looking for friends-perhaps one very good friend--to share it. I've been described as "fiercely committed" to my own independence and I guess that's accurate. I'm mostly open-minded and easy going except for when I'm not: I strive for rigorous integrity and personal responsiblity and won't accept less in return. Have a wide range of hobbies and interests (some active and well developed, some not)but I enjoy cooking and weightlifting, for a start. I have a dog I love, grown children who've provided numerous grandchildren, a place in the country that holds my soul and a regrettable wander----. Geeze, who fills up 2000 characters talking about themselves, anyway?
