What does anyone think about the idea of social recession? That there can be a recession in society the same way there can be in the economy. Has anyone read bowling alone and what does anyone think about ideas like fraternity, neighbourliness or socialism in a wider non-prejorative sense of the word

`Social recession like an economical recession?
As one who studies Elliott Wave Principles. I have to say emphatically, yes.
In Wave principles it is believed that human emotions drive the markets and this can be put to a mathematical formula to predict the markets.
One of the best authors on this subject today is Robert Pretcher of Elliott Wave Institute and his Socioeconomic articles.

`hopefully we dont need a book to see social recession taking place, anyone living in our country should be able to witness it for themselves. look at the demand for social programs, which were created out of generosity and now seem to be taken as a right. look at the race war constantly sparked by political opinion. look at the widening poverty gap, which is in turn pitting the "rich" against the "poor." look at our current education system. look at those elected in the political system. look at the public ignorance and anything deemed "political" or "religious." the list goes on and on, and only a dramatic change in the majorities philosophy on life and the proper role of government will bring about another procession.
