`As far as "what is love?", I prefer the concept put forth by Steve Pavlina in his book "Personal Development for Smart People," in which love is a connection to someone or something. A bond, or attachment, if you will. It can be good or bad, but that's what it IS. For instance, when you love someone (friend, spouse, etc.) you are attached to them by way of some personal connection. The stronger the connection, the more love you feel for them, though it may express itself in different ways depending on the needs of the relationship.
To be in love with a thing is no different. You identify with it, sometimes to the point of obsession. And then the idea that God is all-loving simply means that God is intimately connected to all things, which makes sense, given the quantum entangled nature of the universe.
